GARDENA WILLOWS WETLAND PRESERVE
September 5 / 8am
Back to the willows we go! At the beginning of the 2018 Spring migration we took a trip to the Gardena Willows and enjoyed the orioles on their way in and the warblers on the way out. We thought it only fitting to celebrate the start of the fall migration with a trip back. September can be a great month for wandering warblers, out of place sparrows, off-course tanagers. And of course it will be good to see the winter residents we all love. We'll meet in the Arthur Lee Johnson parking lot accessible via South Park Lane off of W 170th St. The walk will start at 8am (please be on time as the gate will have to be locked behind us). Good walking shoes, a hat and water are suggested.
What you missed last time! Checklist
Bob leads a walk every Wednesday of the month:
2nd Wednesday - Madrona Marsh (8am)
3rd Wednesday - White Point (8:30am)
